Each invited institution is invited to send one to three people to the November 5th & 6th, 2010, Social Studies & Science Collaboratives Symposium at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas. 

It is recommended that the team for the November event be comprised of faculty who are central to the preparation of prospective secondary pre-service teachers, and it is suggested that the team have representation from the College of Education, Social Studies Department, or the Science Department.

Travel expenses and hotel are paid by the CCRI grant
through The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board

The College & Career Readiness Initiative (CCRI) Faculty Collaborative Program is a P-16 initiative of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board that seeks to engage faculty members from Texas Institutions of Higher Education associated with educator preparation programs.

The initiative seeks to foster state-wide higher education collaboration on the improvement of educator quality and implementation of the Texas College & Career Readiness Standards.
